Another dusty one in the Welsh marches. It was no major surprise that local crews dominated the top of the order.
Shaun Gardener had been swapping times with Andy Burton before Burton retired midway through the event. He then took a relatively comfortable win whilst the rest of the podium positions were battled out.
The MSA Asphalt crews descended upon Epynt for the penultimate round of the championship.With five crews still in the hunt for the title it was all to play for.
This time it was the turn of the Accent WRC of Damian Cole to take overall victory with the similar machine of Steve Simpson netting top championship points.
Damp weather greeted the crews for the 2nd running of the Neath Valley Stages. Mike O’Brien backed up his victory from 2007 with another convincing victory this year.

In the moderns it proved to be Peter Lloyd’s event after a good battle with Damian Cole and Eian Pritchard, following the demise of Melvyn Evans.
