Steve Simpson started out with number 1 on the door and didn’t look like being toppled from the top spot all weekend. He dominated the event winning by over two minutes in the end, taking his fourth consecutive victory on the event and his third with Simon Hunter.
Behind them David West converted his third place overnight in to second place after a tight battle which saw the Darrian of Ashley Field just 13 seconds adrift in third place. Further down the field there were plenty of class battles and with the constantly slippery conditions plenty of action.
