mark-gamble-start09Reigning Suzuki Swift Sporting Cup Champion Mark Gamble is planning a busy season for 2009, and aims to contest no less than twenty five different rallies this year as he chases four separate championships.

Wolverhampton based Mark enjoyed his most successful year of rallying in 2008, dominating the Suzuki Swift one make series with four wins from the six rallies in his JAM Motorsport prepared Swift.

For 2009 Mark intends to contest both the BTRDA Rally Series and the Heart of England Championship in the very same Peugeot 106 that he used to take two podiums in 2008 and will be co-driven by Mark Freeman in these two championships. However Mark will once again target the British Rally Championship as his primary focus, and is currently considering a number of different cars for the new season. Mark will continue his successful partnership with Steve Link in the British Championship and the pair also aim to contest the Epynt Challenge as they further their tarmac experience.

Last season was just incredible for both Steve and I and whilst our 2009 season plans might seem optimistic to some people we’ve had a look at the logistics and definitely feel that we can target these four different championships without draining our resources too much.

Mark will begin his busy season with the forthcoming Wyedean Forest Rally. Based in Chepstow this rally uses some of the classic Forest of Dean stages and takes place on Saturday 7th February 2009.
