The First round of the British Historic Rally Championship was the Bulldog Rally on Saturday 28th March. Stefaan Stouf & Joris Erard started the rally with the Ford Escort RS1600 BDA.
The last time in Britain was in November 2008 for the RAC Rally. So the first stage was getting used to the gravel and the English Notes.
There were 4 stages with an average length of 15miles. The weather was not very good, so the stages were very slippery. After the 4 stages Stefaan Stouf & Joris Erard finished 25th overall and 3th in Class C5.
They are happy with the result because there was a big entry-list with big names !
The next rally for Stouf – Erard is the TAC Rally in Tielt. This is the first round of the Belgian Historic Rally Championship. They will start with the Ford Escort RS1800 and aim for the overall victory. Last year they retired the rally when they were leading with more than a minute ! So hopefully this year they can win the rally.
