MSA British Rally Championship open day

The MSA British Rally Championship British Rally Championship is already looking forward to 2010 with an open day planned for Friday 9th October.

Cars from each of the BRC’s one make series’ The Fiesta SportTrophy, Swift Sport Cup and Citroën Racing Trophy will be present at the Sweetlamb Rally Complex, with drivers on hand to give demonstration runs for prospective competitors.

Perez aims for Woodpecker success…

Round seven of the 2009 Pirelli MSA Gravel Rally Championship heads for Ludlow in Shropshire for the penultimate round of the series this weekend (Saturday 5th September) with the Woodpecker Rally making a welcome debut in the ANCRO-organised series.

Although the title has already been decided with Marcus Dodd (Poole) and Andrew Bargery (Hove) claiming a third successive crown in their Hyundai Accent WRC, there is still plenty to play for in the various classes that comprise the series.

Pryce stages strong comeback on Kurzeme Rally

16 year old student Osian Pryce impressed mightily on last weekends Kurzeme Rally in Latvia when he recovered from a time consuming puncture to fight back and finish inside the top 40 on only his fourth ever rally!

Osian and co-driver Craig Parry had the worst possible start to their rally when their Renault Clio slide wide on the very first corner, caught out by oil dropped by the previous car. Although Pryce did well to avoid an accident his confidence took a bit of a knock and he completed the test at a reduced pace.

Bee Automobiles at LCV 2009

Bee Automobiles Ltd (Bee) the new British manufacturer of electric vehicles, lithium-ion battery packs and automotive software, will be at LCV 2009, the Low Carbon Vehicle event at Millbrook, UK, on 9/10 September.

Bee plan to manufacture their electric vehicles and battery packs for introduction in 2011. As well as a 4/6 seat, five-door family car (A/B segment), there would also be a lightweight commercial van (LCV) using the same chassis. The Bee One car is positioned as a second car for a family and would compare in size and price to an Opel/Vauxhall Corsa or Ford Fiesta.
