Two of the most popular and demanding historic rallies in Europe have formed a unique partnership, which will result in the winner of the Roger Albert Clark Rally having the chance to compete in the Boucles de Spa 0n 20 February 2010. In a reciprocal arrangement, the winner of the Boucles de Spa will be able to contest the 2010 Roger Albert Clark Rally.

The organisers of the two events, both rightly recognised as their country’s top historic event, have formed an alliance to cross-promote their events to competitors across Europe. Read More »

smith world series testMichelin Formula Renault UK Championship winner Dean Smith (Wolverhampton) fulfilled his champion’s prize on Tuesday, 27th October as he drove a Formula Renault 3.5 car on the 3.321-mile Motorland Aragon circuit.

The 3.5-litre, 425hp machine is used in the World Series by Renault, a Formula One feeder series that has seen Grand Prix winners Robert Kubica and Sebastian Vettel graduate in recent seasons. Read More »

The 2009 Pirelli MSA Gravel Rally Championship Gala Awards Dinner takes place on Saturday 14th November 2009 at the Barcelo Daventry Hotel whereby Formula One TV pundit Tony Jardine will be guest of honour and after-dinner speaker.

Jardine, who competes regularly usually at the wheel of a Ford Fiesta ST, is also President of the Southern Car Club, and it is they who organise the traditional opening round of the ANCRO series, Rallye Sunseeker. Read More »

Garry Pearson scored his first Brick and Steel 205 Ecosse Challenge win on Sunday’s Cheviot Keith Knox Stages. The teenager from Duns was a last-minute entry to the rally after a rapid rebuild of his wrecked car – but once the action started Pearson and co-driver Dave Robson simply blew their opposition away.

Garry’s Border Rally Sport team burned the midnight oil to get the Peugeot 205 GTi back to full fettle following a heavy accident on last month’s Colin McRae Forest Stages. Pearson and Robson repaid their team’s hard work with a resounding victory, marking Garry’s first 205 win after a full year of rallying. Read More »

The world-renowned sports car racer will contest the four-day rally in a historic specification Ford Escort RS2000, while Peter will be in his regular Porsche 911 for his first attempt at the 13-16 November rally. Read More »
