Peter van Merksteijn jr. had to retire today with his Citroën DS3 WRC in the WRC Rallye de France. Together with his co-driver Erwin Mombaerts he went off on the slippery roads besides the track and damaged his car too badly to continue to fight for points in the World Rally Championship during the remaining two days of the rally.

Andreas Mikkelsen will be aiming to give ŠKODA a hat-trick of wins on the RACMSA Rally of Scotland (7-9 October), when he contests ŠKODA UK Motorsport’s home round of the Intercontinental Rally Challenge (IRC) in his Fabia S2000.
Luca Rossetti and Matteo Chiarcossi, after having regained the lead in the overall standings of the European Rally Championship thanks to the points obtained in the 68th Rally of Poland, driving the Abarth Grande Punto S2000 bearing the colours of United Business, will be at the start of the 46th Rallye Antibes Cote d’Azur, which will be held from October 14th to 16th in France, with start and finish in Antibes and service area in Nice.
