After four days of rallying action the Rally Queens continue to impress with their consistency and bright cheerful smiles. Todays three stages were not really to the girls liking but this is rallying and they just got on with it, ending the day in 34th position and beating a number of men in the process!
This Saturday night (19th November) saw the Dulux Trade MSA British Rally Championship award its winners at the annual end-of-season prizegiving gala dinner, which took place the Hallmark Hotel in Manchester.
Sébastien Ogier has been signed as the first official Volkswagen driver for the FIA World Rally Championship (WRC). The 27-year-old Frenchman and his co-driver Julien Ingrassia (31) are joining the Volkswagen Motorsport squad effective immediately. Ogier, who finished the 2011 WRC in third place, will be instrumental in helping to shape the development of the Polo R WRC for Volkswagen’s 2013 entry in the World Rally Championship.
Steve Perez considers the Roger Albert Clark Rally (2-5 December) to be the best rally of the year and will fly straight back from the East African Safari Classic Rally to maintain his 100% record of starting each of the eight editions of the Roger Albert.
