After the end of all the rallies held in Italy and worldwide in the year 2011, Luca Rossetti is always number one of the 2011 Italian Rally Ranking, thereby confirming his position obtained in 2010. An  irresistible climb all year long allowed the three-time European Rally Champion to confirm his first position thanks to the points gained in events in Italy, but mainly for his results in races abroad, in second place is the Italian Champion, Paolo Andreucci, who scored more points than Rossetti in the Italian rallies, but paid in the final standings the lack of results abroad, in third place  Alessandro Perico. Specialty Fasteners and Components, the designers and manufacturers of the ubiquitous bonnet and panel fastener, AeroCatch, have taken the decision to issue all distributors and dealers with Authorisation Certificates for display on their premises.

The move is part of a programme to counter a growing threat from counterfeit AeroCatch arriving from the Far East. Graham Leo, sales manager at SFC is concerned for motorsport competitors’ safety: “We have been alerted to an increasing number of counterfeit versions of AeroCatch coming onto the market recently and would urge anyone considering using AeroCatch to purchase from an authorised dealer. Most counterfeit versions are very difficult to operate and do not fasten securely. Some could even prove dangerous with normal everyday use!” Read More »
