2012 British Rally Championship IRDC Driver Improvement Award

The MSA British Rally Championship (BRC) is pleased to announce that for the 2012 season the International Rally Driver’s Club’s (IRDC) innovative Driver Improvement Award Scheme will not only cater for drivers in the main international category of the series, but has been expanded to include the BRC Challenge.

The top four “Most Improved” drivers from 2011 had been placed in the IRDC scheme’s top ten at each of last year’s six qualifying BRC rallies, proving that consistency is the key to winning the initiative, designed to highlight best improvement in driver performance on gravel and asphalt.

Škoda Champion begins IRC title defence

Škoda UK Motorsport’s Andreas Mikkelsen will begin the defence of his Intercontinental Rally Challenge drivers’ title on his favourite round of the series, the Sata Rallye Açores (22-25 February).

Toby Moody becomes BTCC commentator for ITV Sport

Toby Moody has been confirmed as ITV Sport’s new Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship race commentator.

Moody will join former BTCC title-winner and expert pundit Tim Harvey in the commentary box for all ten events this season which will be broadcast live by ITV4. He replaces Ben Edwards who has moved to the BBC’s Formula 1 team.
