The eighth running of Tour Britannia has been judged another success by competitors after a field of 50 cars competed across two and a half days in Britain’s only race and rally tour.
When the tour ended in Harrogate on Friday evening (8 June), the major winners were confirmed as Phil Hindley/Andy Bull (competition), Richard Meaden/Nathan Blewer (targa) and Melissa Raven/Jeremy Haylock (regularity). The Berkshire UK-based vehicle transmission design and manufacturing specialist, Xtrac, will again be the leading supplier of gearboxes for the legendary Le Mans 24-hour endurance race, which takes place this weekend (16-17 June). The company will supply 30 of the 56 cars entered for the race with state-of-the-art transmissions as well as supplying other cars with high performance differentials and high precision steering racks. The event is widely recognised as a highlight of the global motorsport calendar.

The Rally Queens rally team once more enjoyed a successful outing in the Kenyan National Rally Championship when Samira Khan and co-driver Chantal Young drove their Classic Ford Escort Mk1 to a podium position in the Classic Cup on the recent 60th jubilee KCB Safari Rally.
