At 9am on Thursday 10th of January, 9 students from the University of the West of Scotland strode onto the Go Motorsport stand at the 2013 Autosport Show, NEC Birmingham. Their Challenge – to convert a 1999 Nissan Micra 1000cc into a ready to go Junior 1000 rally car by 6pm on Sunday night. The project was the brainchild of Alison Clark from Lockerbie – the MSA Go Motorsport Regional Development Officer for Scotland – with assistance from David Barlow. David is the Co-ordinator of the Brick & Steel Junior 1000 Ecosse Challenge – a car rally Championship for 14 to 17 year olds which is entering its second year in Scotland. Read More »

It was boom time for both the Roger Albert Clark Rally and the West Wales Rally Spares R.A.C Rally Championship during Autosport International at the Birmingham NEC (10-13 January).

Suzuki GB PLC is pleased to announce its presence at this year’s Autosport International show at the NEC in Birmingham. Suzuki will be exhibiting several examples of its very popular Swift model including an early opportunity to view two Special Edition models due for introduction in the UK in the near future; these will be badged SZ-L for the 1.2-litre model and SZ-R for the 1.6-litre Sport. From the two wheel side of the company, the latest version of the GSX-R600 will also be on display equipped with advanced technology derived from MotoGP.
