The very best of British drivers will have to contend with a notable foreign challenge when the Procters Luxury Coaches MSA British Rallycross Grand Prix in association with Star Radio takes place at Croft Circuit this weekend as nearly 90 drivers will converge on the North Yorkshire circuit for the two-day extravaganza.

Rallycross goes to Town

Just a week before the Star Radio-supported MSA British Rallycross Grand Prix takes place at Croft Circuit near Darlington, many of the leading drivers and their cars will be in Northallerton this forthcoming Sunday afternoon where the general public can meet the stars and even see the 550bhp Supercars in action!

Scott and Viitanen to contest Rallycross Grand Prix

Global rallycross star Andy Scott and Finnish ace Silvo Viitanen are the latest drivers to confirm their participation in the MSA British Rallycross Grand Prix in association with Star Radio which takes place at Croft Circuit on Sunday 28th October.

Scott, the trawler fleet owner from Dumfries has been away in the USA contesting the prestigious Global Rallycross Championship alongside Swedish rallying legend Per Eklund and will bring either his Ford Focus or Peugeot 306 Supercar to the North Yorkshire track in a bid to emulate his Superprix victory of 2010.

Local interest at Croft British Rallycross Grand Prix

Momentum is rapidly gaining for next month’s British Rallycross Grand Prix which takes place at Croft Circuit on Sunday 28th October with local interest well to the fore.

Darlington-based Star Radio will be the official associate sponsor and broadcast partner of the MSA British Rallycross Grand Prix in association with Star Radio, and as well as featuring the event in the build up, are planning on broadcasting live from Croft.

Motorsport legend Per Eklund from Sweden will be behind the wheel of the ex Will Gollop Peugeot 306 and will line up against Finnish driver Silvo Viitanen (ERC Fiesta Mk7 SuperCar). The two Scandinavians will take on the likes of European Championship contender Liam Doran (Citroen C4) and 2011 British Champion Julian Godfrey (Ford Fiesta) as part of a healthy 16-strong SuperCar line up.
