Andreas Mikkelsen finished 2nd on Rally Finnskog (2 February) in a ŠKODA Fabia S2000, completing the icy eight stage event just 10.3 seconds behind Mads Østberg’s World Rally Car.
The result gives the Intercontinental Rally Challenge champion and former ŠKODA UK Motorsport driver the lead in the Norwegian Rally Championship, but more importantly it completes a highly successful two-rally pre-season test programme in which Andreas and new co-driver Mikko Markkula were able to fine-tune their pace note system under competitive conditions. Andreas Mikkelsen marked a brief return to SKODA with a crowd-pleasing second place finish on the Lapland Arctic Rally in Finland (25-26 Jan).





Škoda UK Motorsport’s Andreas Mikkelsen is planning the ultimate celebration run on the Cyprus Rally (November 2-4), as the 23-year old Fabia S2000 pilot is set to become the first driver to retain the Intercontinental Rally Challenge title.
Andreas Mikkelsen finished 8th on the Barum Czech Rally Zlín in his factory-prepared ŠKODA UK Motorsport Fabia S2000 to maintain his lead in the Intercontinental Rally Challenge.

You can usually count on Andreas Mikkelsen to stake a claim on anything he sets out to do, and the ŠKODA UK Motorsport driver’s aim for the Sibiu Rally Romania (20-21 July) is to extend his lead in the Intercontinental Rally Challenge. Round 8 takes place in the central Transylvanian region of Romania, made famous by Bram Stoker’s Dracula novel, yet this time it will be Andreas who’ll want to sink his teeth into the 12 stage event – which spookily includes two night time stages and a midnight service!
