Career best Manx victory for sensational Newby

Carnforth teenager Arron Newby continued his meteoric rise to stardom when he took outright victory on this weekend’s Chris Kelly Memorial Stages and in doing so, took the lead in the Eurostars Motorsport.com Manx Rally Championship.

Driving the Pirelli-sponsored and TEG Sport-prepared Subaru Impreza along with local Manx co-driver Rob Fagg on the notes, the 18-year-old was keen to add to his list of successes over the past year since taking to the four-wheel drive car.

Newby storms to podium at Brean

After a top six placing where he was competing in the snow and ice of the Jack Frost Rally at Croft last weekend, Carnforth teenager Arron Newby continued his great form with another superb drive to take a brilliant third place overall on this weekend’s K&R Mitsubishi Stages held at Brean Leisure Park near Weston-Super-Mare.

Following a successive hat-trick of outright victories on his first three rallies in the TEG Sport -prepared Subaru Impreza last year, Carnforth teenager Arron Newby continued his great form with another superb drive to clinch a class win and sixth place overall on today’s Autogas 2000 Jack Frost Stages Rally held at Croft Circuit.

Best result of season for Korhonen on Rally Yorkshire

Finland’s Jukka Korhonen saved the best until last when he scored his season’s best result of fifth place in the final round of the 2012 MSA British Rally Championship which took place with the Trackrod Rally Yorkshire this weekend.

Driving the Pirelli TEG Sport Skoda Fabia R2, the 27-year-old from Siikajarvi, who won last year’s Pirelli UK Star Driver award, gradually climbed the leader board from holding seventh place overall after Friday night’s stage in Dalby.

Newby shines on Manx Rally

Continuing his excellent run of results which has seen him win the last three events he has contested in the Pirelli-sponsored TEG Sport Group N Subaru Impreza outright, 17-year-old Arron Newby was back in action in the car where he once again impressed as he recorded a superb fifth place finish on the three-day Duke Stages Rally.

Continuing his excellent run of results which saw him win two more rallies outright during the break in the BRC calendar, 17-year-old Arron Newby claimed a deserved 13th overall in the Pirelli TEG Sport Team’s Robert Wiseman Dairies-sponsored Skoda Fabia R2.

Pirelli continues partnership with TEG Sport

Italian tyre firm Pirelli has confirmed that it will support TEG Sport’s Arron Newby during his 2013 rally programme.

Lancashire-based TEG Sport has helped Pirelli run its prestigious Star Driver programme for the past four years, and the team has been commended for its efforts in providing the Italian tyre firm with both a reliable and professional service.

As a result of the long-standing relationship between the two companies, Pirelli has agreed to support 17-year-old Newby who has been making a strong impression on his debut season competing in this year’s British Rally Championship at the wheel of a Skoda Fabia R2.

Hat-Trick of wins for Newby

Having sampled a taste of victory on his 4WD debut on the John Overend Memorial Stages Rally at Melbourne in May which he followed up with the overall win on last month’s Opposite Lock Stages Rally held at Manby Motorsport Complex, Arron Newby made it a hat-trick of wins with his latest victory on the Jane Cowling Memorial Phoenix Stages Rally yesterday held at Fulbeck Airfield in Lincolnshire.

Second successive 4WD victory for sensational Newby

Following his fantastic victory on his 4WD debut on the John Overend Memorial Stages Rally at Melbourne in May, Arron Newby made it two out of two with a sensational win on yesterday’s Opposite Lock Stages Rally held at Manby Motorsport Complex in Lincolnshire.

On his first visit to the venue near Louth, the 17-year-old from Carnforth was once again driving the Robert Wiseman Dairies-sponsored and TEG Sport-prepared Group N Subaru Impreza for only the second time and in doing so, saw off a number of leading drivers in what was a full entry of 75 cars for the popular event.
