erard-monteburg09aAfter a bad start in the TAC Rally 2009 were they retired due mecanical problems they decided to drive the Rs Monteberg on Sunday 3 May.

In the Monteberg there are 3 laps to do (3 times the same stage) and the best time you have driven counts for the result. Last year Stefaan Stouf and Joris Erard has won the Historic event so this year they want to do it again! Read More »


pr_rach_procare09Carlisle rally co-driver Rachel Medich was in action again last weekend when she contested the Procare Stages at the Three Sisters race circuit near Wigan. Rachel was competing in a Talbot Sunbeam with Martin Lynch and they finished 25th overall after 12 stages at a very sunny venue.

It was the second time Rachel had competed at the venue in the MGL Transport Ltd backed Sunbeam, she enjoyed last year’s event so much she returned for more in 2009. Read More »

apex-jaguar-silver09The Apex GT3 Jaguar kicked off the 2009 Season of the FIA GT3 European Championships at Silverstone circuit with drivers Bradley Ellis and Chris Dymond.

Qualification on Saturday morning produced a good result for Ellis, who would start that race in pos. 11.  At driver changeover, it became apparent that the new soft “A” tyres were showing considerably more wear than expected, as a result, Dymond struggled with reduced traction together with slow traffic during the second half of qualification, consequently starting the second race towards the back of the grid in 34th. suzuki-barro09MVR-D Suzuki rider, Mattis Karro, dominated round three of the Maxxis British Motocross Championship at the weekend, taking a tremendous double win on his RM-Z250 at the Brampton circuit in Cumbria yesterday.

Karro, who had not ridden at the track before this weekend, dominated the first MX2 race with an 11 second lead over rival Jake Nicholls early on, settling into the pace and still crossing the line with a comfortable lead to take the win. Read More »

dave-weston-junior-welsh-int0118 year old Dave Weston Junior impressed on his tarmac rallying debut when the Aberdeen teenager ran inside the top ten overall all day long on last Sunday’s Welsh International Rally over the notoriously tricky Epynt Military Ranges.
Conscious of the fearsome reputation of the ranges MSA Rally Academy member Weston approached the opening loop of stages with caution and after making some setup changes to the William Whyte Cargo Handlers and Coltel Communications backed Impreza N14 the young British Rally Championship regular began setting top three times in the Production Class. wayne-ellis-welsh-int09Welshpool based Wayne Ellis was very happy with the debut of his Complete Signs and Graphics backed Peugeot 106 rally car despite failing to finish last weekends Welsh International Rally after a fuel union broke, causing his retirement.
With no opportunity to test before the rally Wayne and co driver John Tomley adopted a cautious start to the opening stage and despite a big moment at a chicane the pair returned to first service happy with how their day was going. Incorrect suspension on the car meant that it was unpredictable over the many jumps on the Epynt Military Ranges and Wayne chose to err on the side of caution but despite this was still happy to be on the pace of the top 205 Challenge cars around him.
