ronnie aug09Three-time World Snooker Champion Ronnie O’Sullivan is to swap the green baize for black tarmac at Silverstone this weekend (15/16 Aug) and make his motorsport debut at the wheel of a 130mph racing saloon in the Volkswagen Racing Cup in association with Hankook.

Pwllheli residents Andrew Hockridge and Darren Garrod scored an emphatic class victory and a brilliant top ten overall finish on last weekend’s Stonethrowers Rally in Southern Ireland in their Signature Cheese backed Citroen C2R2 Max.

Andrew, who is a contestant in the British Citroen Racing Trophy, was using the Stonethrowers Rally as a high speed test ahead of the fifth round of the MSA British Rally Championship, the Ulster Rally, and was pleased to run without dramas all day long. Read More »

suzuki aug09Mattis Karro of the MVR-D Suzuki team put on another determined performance at the thirteenth round of the World MX2 championships at the weekend, as the young Latvian battled back from a tough qualifying session to a pair of top-fifteen finishes at the Czech Republic Grand Prix.

Dogged by bad luck early-on, Karro would pit during his qualifying race, re-entering a lap down and consequently placing 34th at the finish. Determined to put the disappointment behind him, Karro was quick off the line in the first race, but had to re-group after missing a gear early-on to fight back from 20th to an eventual 14th place at the flag.
