Wright, who is backed by Grove Hill Garage and Kumho Tyres, presently leads the championship but with the title being decided on the best six scores from eight he needs to ideally get maximum points on the Ludlow-based event. Read More »

suzuki aug09eMVR-D Suzuki’s Natalie Kane, ended her 2009 World Championship campaign in a great third place, as the young Irish rider took a solid fourth overall in the final round of the series, held at Lierop in Holland at the weekend.

Kane, who rode to a great third place finish at the previous round in Sweden, repeated the result in race two at Lierop, bettering her first race finish of fifth, to take fourth overall on the day on her RM-Z250. With series rival Maria Franke out with injury, Kane would take advantage to finish the 2009 FIM Women’s World Championship in a great third place. Read More »

Fortec Motorsport’s James Calado (Worcester) produced a faultless performance during rounds 15 and 16 of the 2009 Michelin Formula Renault UK Championship at Silverstone National circuit on August 29th/30th to secure a double win and maximum championship points.  The 20-year-old backed by the Racing Steps Foundation claimed two lights-to-flag victories  together with two Michelin pole-positions and two NGK fastest laps to take a clean sweep of the points at the 1.64-mile Northamptonshire circuit.

With 35 nations competing in the most renowned motocross event on the calendar, Suzuki GB teams will support no-less than four nations. With MVR-D Suzuki’s Carl Nunn the most recent rider to be confirmed on the British team, his team-mate Mattis Karro will be riding for Latvia with the Relentless Suzuki MX squad of Martin Barr and Scott Columb confirmed for the Irish and New Zealand teams respectively. Northamptonshire’s Silverstone National circuit provided the setting for two thrilling rounds (15 and 16) of the 2009 ELF Renault Clio Cup with Michelin at the weekend with Amery Motorsport’s Dave Newsham (Inverness) securing his maiden Clio victory while championship leader Team Pyro’s Phil Glew (Tothill, Lincolnshire) edged ever closer to the title crown.

Chris Anderson Pendragon stages Rally 2009County Durham rally driver Chris Anderson was in action in Cumbria over the weekend when he contested The Stobart Rail Pendragon Stages Rally based in Penrith.

After a race to get his ex Guy Wilks Ford Puma S1600 ready in time for the event, the 18-year-old maintenance engineer from Butterknowle near Bishop Auckland was looking forward to gaining more experience on a multi-venue event. Read More »
