Almost 2 months after our last outing we finally chalked up our first event of 2010, the Wyedean Media Day. This year the event returned to Chepstow Racecourse with guests able to sample the Piercefield Park stage, in the reverse direction to how it is run on the actual rally. A number of local crews were there, with a large number of Escorts (MkI & MkII) dominating proceedings. Following six months of round-the-clock vehicle build-up and testing in preparation for the 2010 GRAND-AM Continental Tyre Sports Car Challenge season, Kia Motors’ first-ever U.S. motorsports program reaches the track later this week with two Forte Koups competing in the ‘Fresh From Florida 200’ at Daytona International Speedway on January 29.  Kia Motors America and racing partner Kinetic Group have built the No. 10 and No. 12 Kia Forte Koups, to campaign in the Street Tuner (ST) class. A new series of discretionary awards in the Dunlop/WONAGO.com MSA British Historic Rally Championship will support three clubmans crews with paid entry fees on one of the closing rounds of the 2010 season.

With the support of Holton Homes, the company of BHRC contender Peter Egerton, the BHRC ‘Spirit of Clubmen’ award will present three fully paid entry fees to either the Tour of Flanders or the Trackrod Historic Cup. One entry fee will be awarded to the category 1 cars, one to the category 2 cars and one to the category 3 cars. Read More »
