Mombasa born Peter Horsey is looking forward to getting back into his Civicon supported Mitsubishi Evo 9 rally car when the 26 year old heads to the foothills of Mount Kenya for this weekends KCB Simba Savings Rally, the fourth round of the Kenyan National Rally Championship.

After challenging for overall honours on the recent Kisumu Rally young Horsey, the 2009 Pirelli Star Drive recipient, is really looking forward to this weekend; competing in the World Rally Championship this year has taught me a lot about my pre event preparations and I’m hoping to use that to my advantage this weekend. This is a new rally and that will help as well as no-one has an advantage on Saturday.

The KCB Simba Savings Rally marks the half way point in the Kenyan National Rally Championship and although Horsey has enjoyed some strong runs so far in 2010 he is aware that he might be forced to miss some rallies later in the season due to clashes with his World Rally Championship campaign! Family friend and highly respected co-driver Andrew Doig will call the notes this weekend.

The rally begins with a super special stage at the Meru Showgrounds on Friday afternoon. The rally itself consists of 11 special stages, all within clear view of the awe inspiring Mount Kenya, guaranteeing a spectacular back drop for what is sure to be a spectacular event!
