This weekend, Saturday 30th and Sunday 31st October, Conwy County welcomed approximately 14,000 people and 24 rally cars at Wales Rally GB’s two-day Rallyfest North Wales event. Builth Wells resident Jason Pritchard will use this weekends JLT Rally South of England Tempest Rally as a warm up session ahead of his four wheel drive World Rally Championship debut on next weekends Wales Rally GB. 21 year old Sara Williams from Brecon has been invited to contest this years Wales Rally GB National event! Sara has been chosen from an oversubscribed entry list for the popular National section on this, the final round of the World Rally Championship, and will run seventh on the road! Duns rally driver Garry Pearson faces one of the biggest events so far in his fledgling rally career as he prepares for a make-or-break title decider. Garry heads to Crail for the GMSC Kingdom Stages on Saturday 6 November, where he will go head-to-head with fellow Borders youngster Sean Robson in a battle that will decide the destiny of the 2010 Brick and Steel 205 Ecosse Challenge.

19 year-old Garry and Inverbervie co-driver Tom Hynd looked set to wrap up the 205 Ecosse Challenge title on the Keith Knox Rally earlier in October, but there was heartbreak on the final stage when an electrical problem following a heavy landing caused the crew’s car to cut out. Garry and Tom were able to get their Peugeot 205 GTi going again, but the time lost sent them down the standings.
