British Rally Championship co-driver Glyn Thomas undertook a monumental challenge last weekend as he ran the entire Abbey St Bathans stage of the Jim Clark Rally in aid of the Rally4CancerResearch charity. As if the undulating 16 mile stage was not enough to contend with, he completed the entire “Jogathon” route dressed in full rally gear including his helmet and overalls.

Richard Sykes, from Stourbridge, continued his quest for the BRC Challenge rally title last weekend when he finished in second place and first in class on the Jim Clark Challenge event.

The event was due to start on Friday evening but due to delays experienced by the other rallies running ahead of the Challenge the opening stage was cancelled, with the 16-mile Abbey St Bathans test now kicking things off on Saturday morning. Read More »

Simon Moore and Emma Morrison clinched back to back victories in the NGK Spark Plugs BRC Challenge after a thrilling finale on the Scottish Borders roads, making it the first time the Sunderland ace has taken the top step of the podium on the Jim Clark Challenge Rally this weekend.

The event had started brightly for Moore, but it was the local driver Gareth White who set the opening pace alongside navigator Mike Dickson. The Kick Energy team will expand to three cars for the forthcoming 60th Jubilee KCB Safari Rally as Simon Sharpe and his unique V8 Platz hybrid joins championship regulars Peter and Alex Horsey. For this three day rally Alex Horsey will make his competition debut in the crowd pleasing “Moto Moto” Datsun Debe whilst Peter will be at the helm of the powerful Mitsubishi Evo 10.
