Bentham-based rally driver David Wright has secured a new sponsor for his 2012 rally season ahead of driving his Mitsubishi Evo 9 at the prestigious Goodwood Festival of Speed next weekend.

Millers Oils, one of the leading independent blenders of oil and fuel additives, are joining Wright’s existing supporters Kumho Tyres, Proflex, Drenth, York Brewery, GPM and Grove Hill Garage as he aims to build on his recent excellent results which have included a win on the Tour of Hamsterley and second place on the Plains rally. With four rounds of the 2012 MSA British Rally Championship under his belt and a new car and team to adjust to, double champion Keith Cronin has already proved that he can adapt to whatever is thrown his way this year.

He began the season with a guest drive in a Twingo Renaultsport R1 Trophy car, but decided that he had the bug and was quickly at the wheel of a Citroën DS3 R3 and vying for overall position. ‘Hey everyone, It’s Tomo again this will be my last column here at Rally New Zealand. It was a great weekend for WRC Team MINI Portugal with both drovers successfully completing every stage!
