Retro Rallycross, the first series to offer a place to race historic cars in Rallycross will run its first event at Mallory Park on July 22, appearing alongside the MSA British Rallycross Championship. One of very few motor sport disciplines not to have previously embraced the interest and growth in historic motor sport, Rallycross is resurgent in Britain and the new Retro Rallycross Challenge addresses a growing interest in the type of cars that many remember watching as Rallycross shot to prominence in the 1970s when it was regularly featured in Saturday afternoon TV shows Grandstand and World of Sport. The “EUROFORMULA VOLANT” 2011 left his mark once again in the 3rd round of the French F4 Championship which took place on the highly technical circuit of Val de Vienne near Vigeant. After some good qualifiers, where Simon Gachet respectively held 3rd and 2nd place on the starting grid, the “EUROFORMULA VOLANT” finished at the foot of the podium in race 1 and race 2. This performance put Simon Gachet, at the end of the 3rd round, in second place in the provisional rankings of the French F4 championship! Read More »

Double Rally Raid Champion Nish Lakhani was back to his winning ways on the recent Masinga Dam based event when he powered his Landrover V8 monster to victory. After two days and over 180 kilometres of a variety of testing terrain, Nish and new co-driver Teeku Patel were overjoyed to take maximum points from the third round of the 2012 championship. WRC Brother Rally New Zealand was the toughest yet for Louise Cook from Maidstone, Kent. The 3rd round being so close to Rally Acropolis meant Louise only had two weeks to bring in the budget required to compete in WRC Brother Rally New Zealand. With some amazing support, a lot of determination, hard work and a lack of sleep, somehow, Louise and her co-driver boarded a flight to arrive  just in time for the final signing on for the rally.

“It was madness. I was phoning UK companies by day and New Zealand companies by night. I was so shattered, sometimes I forgot to eat for the whole days as I was so focused on making it happen and avoiding exclusion and the massive fine. The support was overwhelming, from both people in the UK and also when I got out to New Zealand, I cannot thank everyone enough who made this happen.” Read More »
