The penultimate round of the Brick & Steel Construction Ecosse Challenge heads to the south west corner of Scotland for classic testing stages in the New Galloway region.

A local battle in the Peugeot 205 class between Newton Stewarts  Mark McCulloch who will be trying to head off fellow local Scott Peacock from Castle Douglas. Leading the class is Borders Driver Callum Atkinson who leads by one point from Tom Hynd (Inverbervie), Jordan Black (Lanark) and Adrian Stewart (Aberdeen) so a very tight battle is in prospect. Scott Peacock, Roy McLennan and Mark McCulloch are close behind and will be hoping that the rally goes there way to move them up the points table.

In the 1.6 Civic class Graeme Smith who is co-driven by Clerk of the Course Allan Marshalls daughter Kirsty will be hoping for a favorable result. Grant Inglis (Glasgow) will be hoping to continue his good run of luck but Duncan Campbell (Ayrshire) is very close behind him and the pair will no doubt be swapping stage wins again.

In the Civic type R class Craig Rutherford comes back over from the Isle of Mull hoping to put the problems on the Speyside behind him to take a title win on the Merrick. Craig is co-driven by Ross Hynd whose parents are out in a 205 on the event.
