Defending Scottish rally champion David Bogie and his main challenger Euan Thorburn resume their title fight over more than forty fast and challenging miles in the Galloway forest on Saturday.

The pair will line up in Wigtown for the Ian Broll Merrick Stages, along with last year’s winner Mike Faulkner, and 2009 victor Jock Armstrong.

With four victories this season, Bogie has a six-point cushion over Thorburn going into the penultimate round of the MSA Scottish Rally Championship. Read More »

The record books will show another win for Damian Cole & James Morgan (Focus WRC) over Epynt, securing the 3rd straight National Asphalt title for Cole. It looked as though he was not pushed at all but Cole had his issues through the day even if he lost one rival before the start of the event, Steve Simpson, and then the no.1 seeded car of Peter Lloyd & Gwynfor Jones (Impreza WRC) after the 2nd stage and hitting multiple sheep at the stage end. Congratulations to Cole & Morgan and behind him Ashley Field & Bridie Hall (Darrian T90) ended up only just over half a minute back. ‘Hello everyone, Maxi the MINI here for the last time! – I’m so excited because we just finished fifth overall at ADAC Rallye Deutschland. It was three tough days of competition, 15 special stages a lot of hard work but also loads of fun with Chris, Stéphane and the team. 368.63km of special stages later and we clocked the best result achieved by WRC Team MINI Portugal so far and Chris’ highest finish ever in Germany.
