Debuts from Aston Martin, Bentley, Overfinch, Rimac and Tushek, guest appearances from pop stars, Olympic athletes and new products from world leading brands marked the opening of the three-day Salon Privé at Syon House today.

The UK’s most prestigious Super Car Show and Concours d’Elégance was the venue chosen for the debut of the Aston Martin V12 Vantage Roadster, Rimac Concept_One electric hyper car, Renovatio T500 from Croatian super car maker Tushek, Bentley GT Speed, Carozerria Touring Supleggerra’s 2012 Disco Volante and Overfinch’s Range Rover Sport-inspired Limited Edition GTS-X.

Starting with the inaugural 21-mile Tour d’Elégance from the Royal Automobile Club’s Woodcote Park in Epsom to Syon House, over 30 vintage super cars and bikes drove en-convoy to officially open Salon Privé 2012 – complete with a ribbon cutting by Earl George Percy at his ancestral home.

Earl Percy said: “This is a truly wonderful event, and I’m very proud that Syon Park has been chosen as the venue for the last two years and I hope, many more years to come.  It is a wonderful showcase of Syon House and the comprehensive refurbishment completed this year.  I’m proud to welcome Salon Privé and its sponsors, partners and exhibitors here once again.”

Daley Thompson said: “Super cars, beautiful classic cars, some of my favourite brands and a real best of British flavour – all here at Salon Privé.  I’d encourage everyone to come along to Syon Park and experience it for themselves over the next two days.”

Jay Kay: “If you are looking for a splendid day out in London, surrounded by beautiful people, and in my opinion, even more beautiful cars – then Salon Privé is the place for you.”

Special new products from sponsors Audemars Piguet timepieces, Boodles jewellery, Chubb Insurance, Pommery champagne and Vertu mobile telephone handsets help complete the line up of luxury goods on offer at Syon Park this week, alongside the creative offering of the EFG Private Bank Art & Memorabilia Fayre.

Thursday is Boodles Ladies Day and Friday the Chubb Insurance Concours d’Elégance at Salon Prive, where the finest vintage cars and classic motorbikes are judged by arguable the most prestigious automotive panel in the world.
