Plans for the route for this year’s Tour Britannia (10/11 May) were unveiled at Race Retro, the International Historic Motorsport Show, at Stoneleigh Park (22-24 February).

Event director Alec Poole showed confirmed and prospective competitors details of what lies ahead when the ninth edition of Britain’s only classic race and rally tour runs in the spring. The 10/11 May tour will be based at Warwick, with scrutineering and documentation on Thursday evening before two full days of competition on Friday and Saturday. Read More »

WWRS Mid Wales 13bThe special award winners for the opening round of the West Wales Rally Spares RAC Rally Championship have been announced following the Rally Marketing Mid Wales Stages (Sunday 3 March).

Jerry Bailey and Graham Lacey took the unfortunate accolade of posting the first retirement of the rally when the head-gasket of their Ford Escort Mk2 failed and they retired four miles in to the opening stage. Read More »

WWRS Mid Wales 13aNick Elliott and Dave Price were the big winners on the opening round of the West Wales Rally Spares R.A.C. Rally Championship, yesterday’s Rally Marketing Mid-Wales Stages (Sunday 3 March).

The Cheltenham crew took victory by just 3.7s after a glorious battle of the Ford Escort Mk2s with Marty McCormack and Phil Clarke. “He’s too quick,” said Elliott of his rival after a battle that ebbed and flowed across five epic stages.
