By moving to a weekend format, the opening round of the MSA British Rally Championship (MSA BRC) will save participants both time and money, while the later start on Saturday enables many volunteer officials to support the event without the cost of overnight accommodation.

The new format retains the high-quality Forestry Commission stages which have gained the event its international reputation and allows the inclusion of competitive driving in the dark on Saturday evening. The midday Finish on Sunday (for MSA BRC and Mintex MSA HRCR British Historic Rally Championship contenders) makes it possible for the majority of these competitors and volunteer officials to be back at work on Monday morning. Callum Black & James MorganFormer BRC Challenge Champion Callum Black is aiming to combine a full blown attack on the British Rally Championship this season with selected forays into both the World and European Championships.

The 21 year old will once again be campaigning the Millers Oils backed Citroen DS3 that took him to a top 10 finish in his first full season in the BRC during 2012 but there will be a new team member in the co-driver’s seat, Welshman James Morgan who is also 21. Read More »
