Driving the, Fuchs Titan, Rapid Solicitors and Kick Energy-backed, Pirelli-shod FBP Ford Focus WRC, Bird followed up his sixth place finish on his debut last season with a battling performance against the established stars on the popular event which consisted of over 80 miles on the notorious Welsh military roads. SONY DSCIn the end it all came down to who was fastest first on the 2013 Tour of Epynt. Steve Simpson & Patrick Walsh (Impreza WRC) almost threw away a 24 second lead they had steadily built up through the opening 3 loops of stages. On the penultimate loop Damien Cole & Craig Drew (Focus WRC) equaled the time of Simpson and then an indiscretion on the final stage almost changed the rally on the final stage. Simpson held on and denied Cole a first ever Tour of Epynt victory. Mini Mexico13b‘Hello everyone, Jack again. It was even hotter today than yesterday with outside temperatures well above 30 degrees. You can imagine the temperature inside the cars for the crews!

‘Today wasn’t an easy day for Michał. The morning loop went well. Michał wasn’t first on the road in his MINI John Cooper Works Countryman WRC, which was better for him! However, the more aggressive driving style of the driver in front meant that the lines in the road ahead of him were different to those in Michał’s pace notes, so on occasion Michał had to carve his own path.
