Wolverhampton and South Staffordshire Car Club Ltd, organisers of the Rally North Wales which was scheduled to run this coming weekend on Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th April, have, after careful consideration, taken the decision to postpone the Welshpool-based event.

Event Manager Kevin Witton explains the reason for the postponement:
“Since Wednesday (March 27th) of last week we have been closely monitoring the adverse weather conditions within and surrounding the Dyfi, Dyfnant and Gartheiniog forests which were to provide the Rally with its competitive sections. Read More »

rs13_rnwprev012012 BRC Challenge champion Richard Sykes is all set for the opening round of this year’s championship, the Rally North Wales Challenge, as he seeks to become the first driver ever to defend the closely-fought title.

Sykes will drive his usual Citroën C2 R2 Max with support from Bathams Brewery, G I Sykes, Boroughbridge Marina and Silverstone Tyres and he will have Simon Taylor in the co-driving seat again. Read More »

Keith Cronin/Seb Marshall Renault Twingo R1Regular BTRDA Gravel Rally series contender Ben Mckay has secured a last minute deal to realise his lifelong dream and contest the MSA British Rally Championship (BRC) in 2013.  McKay will chase the MSA Junior British Rally Championship and R1 class titles in his Monster Sport Europe built Renault Twingo and this will also allow him to vie for the coveted Twingo Renualtsport R1 Trophy. The Morris Lubricants Rally North Wales kicks off just 6 days after the decision to contest the championship was made and it will be a race against time for the 20 year old from Ellesmere in Shropshire to be ready in time for the Welshpool event.
