WWRS Neath13Marty McCormack and Phil Clarke took their third win from four rallies in the Wales Rally Spares R.A.C. Rally Championship after a superb battle on today’s Neath Valley Stages (Saturday 10 August).

After a fabulous day of competition, McCormack/Clarke headed the similar Ford Escort Mk2 of Nick Elliott and Dave Price by just seven-tenths of a second after 45 flat out stage miles in the Rheola and Margam complexes. Read More »

SONY DSCA bumper entry across 4 fields saw the best entry for the Neath Valley Stages to date. The main draw would be the Historics and Martin McCormack & Phil Clarke (Escort MkII) took a last gasp victory from Nick Elliott & Dave Price (Escort MkII). McCormack lost time on stage 2 losing quarter of a minute before playing catch up and getting back to just 1.1s behind Elliott, ahead of the final and longest stage of the event. McCormack gave it maximum attack through Margam ultimately winning by 0.7s. Jason Pritchard & Dale Furniss (Escort MkII) completed the podium taking the FIA class also. Read More »

Stena Line has extended its fantastic 20% discount offer with the MSA British Rally Championship (BRC) to include the BRC end of season awards night (9 November) and Wales Rally GB (14 to 17 November).

The extension has been organised as part of the BRC and Wales Rally GB’s ‘Road to Wales’ campaign, in which the organisers of the final round of the FIA World Rally Championship (WRC) have offered free entries to the BRC’s category winners at the end of the season.

Since several Irish competitors are in the running to win the prizes and this year’s rally is based mainly in North Wales, close to Stena Line’s Holyhead and Liverpool terminals, Wales Rally GB is keen to engage with other Irish competitors, marshals, media and motor sport fans. Read More »
