Carlos Fessman was pleased to hold onto second place in his Ralliart Italy run Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X in the WRC 2 Production Cup after an eventful Day Three at ADAC Rallye Deutschland. The Venezuelan started this morning’s loop locked between Ricardo Trivino and Marco Vallario respectively in first and third in the Production Cup standings. He finished the day in the same position, but his rivals had switched theirs.

First Fessman lost nearly a minute and half on SS9, the first stage of the day, when he stopped to help a fellow competitor allowing Vallario to move in front and dropping the Ralliart Italy driver to third. Read More »

Ross Hunter and Josh Davison cracked the conundrum of the first of this weekend’s Ulster Challenge rally events to score their second win of the 2013 NGK Spark Plugs BRC Challenge.  They were pushed all the way by series returnees Dean Raftery and co driver Aileen Kelly as championship front runners Russ Thompson and Richard Sykes endured a tricky afternoon.

After getting underway from the ceremonial start in Enniskillen town centre, the first test of the day saw the crews head to the east to tackle the exciting stage around local beauty spot Topped Mountain, so called because of the prominent cairn on the summit. Read More »

Day one of Todds Leap Rally NI, round four of the MSA British Rally Championship, saw drama from the very start, as the heavens opened on the Enniskillen town centre start just as series leaders Jukka Korhonen/Marko Salminen drove up to the ramp.

The top six crews had attended a civic reception at the town hall and made their Pirelli tyre choices 45 minutes ahead of the rest of the field, but most opted for damp or wet weather rubber – lucky as the stages were “like ice” according to the Finns.

It was an on-form Tom Cave & Ieuan Thomas who made their mark with fastest time on the first test, local crew Alastair Fisher/Gordon Noble next, just 8.6 seconds down on the Welshmen. Read More »
