Salon Privé is proud to announce details of the 2013 Chubb Insurance Tour d’Elégance which will once again open the UK’s most prestigious Concours d’Elégance along with the Audemars Piguet Super Car Show.

The 30-mile tour will commence from the Royal Automobile Club Woodcote Park in Epsom on Tuesday 3rd September. A stunning collection of 50 cars, worth over £22 Million, from the Concours will travel to Mercedes-Benz World in Weybridge, whereupon every machine will do a lap of the circuit with curator Rob Durrant introducing each car for the gathered spectators. The cavalcade will then move to Brooklands Museum, before making the last leg of their journey to Salon Privé at Syon Park.

Spectators are invited to watch all the action at Mercedes-Benz World from 12.30 till 14.00.

The Tour will feature a host of exquisite and rare classic cars including:

– 1949 Riley 105 Transformable Coupé – One of a kind prototype designed and owned by the famous coachbuilder Walter Köeng
– 1999 Lamborghini Diablo SV Roadster – The only surviving right hand drive model built that year
– 1947 Cisitalia 202 MM Nuvolari Spider – Very rare and beautiful race car designed by Battista ‘Pinin’ Farina’s older brother, Giovanni
– 1948 Ferrari 166 Inter-Sport Corsa – First time the car has been shown in the UK, exceptionally rare with only two others known to have been built
– 1955 Ferrari 500 Mondial – Again first time shown in the UK and an utterly original and never been restored example
– 1973 Porsche 911 RS M471 ‘Lightweight’ – Considered the best road going 911 ever – only 150 built.
– 1957 Aston Martin DB 2/4 MkIII – Another UK first, a continental concours winning Aston, bought new by King Boudewijn of Belgium for his personal pilot
