redkite13 (53)Almost 8 months later than originally planned, due to heavy snow, the Red Kite Stages saw the crowning of the inaugural West Wales RAC Rally Champion was crowned with a round to spare. Martin McCormack & Phil Clarke (Escort MkII) set fastest stage time on all six stages to take victory by 42 seconds from Jason Pritchard & Dale Furniss (Escort MkII). Completing the podium were Matthew Robinson & Nigel Hutchinson (Escort MkII) who just held on to 3rd place after a final stage push saw Kevin Davies & Dale Bowen (Escort MkII) cut the gap from 8 to 3 seconds.
