The MG KX Momentum British Touring Car Championship squad of Jason Plato and Sam Tordoff are both aiming to bounce back to the top of the rostrum as the series reconvenes at Silverstone this weekend.

Plato, who has been on the podium eight times so far this season and has landed four wins, says he wants to boost his career tally of victories. If he won two of the weekend’s three races, Plato could net his 80th career triumph on Sunday – which is way more than any other driver in the history of the championship.

The 55th running of the MSA British Rally Championship will see seven events in its 2014 calendar, with just one significant change, following a two year break, Rally Isle of Man returns to Britain’s premier rally series.

Providing a balanced split between gravel and asphalt, the 2014 series will now field three closed road and four classic forest events in its calendar, with the best five results deciding the overall champions.

Also a new joint initiative with the MSA and BHRC will see the events run a National A Rally for both modern and historic two wheel drive cars. BRC crews will benefit from this National A rally’s full mileage and will be seeded at the front, continuing to enjoy gravel reconnaissance. Read More »

The organisers of Rally Isle of Man powered by Microgaming, its partner Druidale Motor Club and UK Rally Limited, promoters of the MSA British Rally Championship can today announce that the ‘Manx’ will re-join Britain’s pinnacle rally series in 2014.

It means a return to the ultra-challenging closed-roads stages made famous down the events 50 year history for the BRC contenders, bringing the cream of the UK’s rally crews as well as those from further afield to the island next September.
