– Top Gear Live adds a fifth performance at The SSE Hydro to meet ‘phenomenal’ demand from Scottish fans

Scottish petrolheads are really revved up for Top Gear Live’s eagerly anticipated debut north of the border in January 2014.

Tickets for three special, 90-minute arena performances at Glasgow’s gleaming new SSE Hydro went on sale last Friday. Within hours the organisers had announced they had added a fourth performance to meet the huge demand… and now tickets for a further show have just gone on sale.

The fifth – and final – automotive-themed extravaganza is scheduled for 7.30pm on Friday 17 January. The four previously revealed shows on Saturday (3.30pm and 7.30pm) and Sunday (2.00pm and 5.30pm) now have only limited tickets available.  All five shows will be hosted by the three star presenters from the popular BBC television programme – Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May – accompanied by driving legend ‘The Stig’.

“Good news,” pronounced Hammond. “Due to the phenomenal demand we’re releasing another date.”

Not so good news for those slow off the mark, though, is that the organisers have confirmed that no further dates will be added. Thus the new Friday evening show – which is also expected to sell-out – gives Top Gear followers a last chance to experience the thrilling mix of breathtaking stunts, jaw dropping supercars and side-splitting challenges.

As before ‘Bronze’, ‘Silver’ and ‘Gold’ tickets are available at £49*, £69* and £89* with special packages for families. A limited number of ‘Platinum’ tickets are also on offer at £99*. Full details can be found on the website or via the box office on 0844 395 4000.

* Booking fees apply.
