Everyone welcome! Is the message from the organisers of Rally North Wales, the opening round of the MSA British Rally Championship, based in Welshpool and using the “Best stages in the world” according to nine times WRC champion Sebastian Loeb.

The all-daylight event takes place on Saturday 5th April, with a ceremonial start in Welshpool town centre from 17:00hrs on Friday. There is plenty of action for everyone, with three events in one; Rally North Wales hosting the British Historic and Welsh Rally Championships as well as the BRC.

The BRC cars will be first on the road, crews in the all two-wheel drive championship relishing the opportunity to get back in the Welsh forests. With three spectator areas, there is ample opportunity to see the action and get closer to the cars in service areas in Welshpool and Dolgellau. Read More »

The company KART-DATA will take care of the timekeeping at the Ennstal-Classic and Chopard Racecar-Trophy.

Andreas Holzleitner offers a wide range of timekeeping services with his company and is well known in the international rally scene.

The new system allows a fully automatic and 100percent correct assignment upon 1/100 of a second. Additional GPS cameras in every RT serve as a backup. The videos with included GPS times can be watched online by the participants. An independent committee consisting of the chief-timekeeper and a representative from the participants will objectively answer questions after each rally day.

In future, the Ennstal-Classic trusts the knowhow of KART-DATA in cooperation with our longtime partner CHOPARD. The new system means more transparency for the participants. Read More »

RR 2014 Poster ImageMore motorsport rarities from the world of racing and rallying along with a list of legendary names have been to the line-up for this year’s Race Retro, at Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire, from 21-23 February.

As part of the show’s tribute to McLaren, three cars from the RofGo Collection will join the M23 already on display; the 1996 McLaren F1 GTR ‘Short Tail’ chassis no. 15R, which was built for GTC Motorsport to contest the 1996 BPR Global GT Series and the Le Mans 24 Hour race, the 1972 M16B-2 Can-Am, one of the all time great Indy cars, and the 1970 M8D chassis no. M8D/4, understood to be an M8E prototype rebuilt to M8D specifications and raced to victory by series winner Denny Hulme. Read More »

Last month, ATL attended the 24th annual Autosport International Show at the Birmingham NEC, Europe’s largest trade-only motorsport exhibition. At this year’s show, ATL presented three new products: ATL’s new Safety Dual Pump Surge Tank, ATL’s Zero-Spill Refuelling Bowser and ATL’s roto-moulded external Safety Swirl Pot.

The new Surge Tank is ATL’s Competition Fuel Delivery System (CFD) for Electronic Fuel Injection Engines (EFI), featuring dual 73psi (5 bar) high-pressure fuel pumps. This set-up can be used for either twice the flow, or with one duty and one standby. Read More »
