Severn Valley 14aFairfield Motorsport will support the 2014 Severn Valley Stages (Saturday 31 May) by providing a special award for the best performance for a crew travelling across the Irish Sea to get to the event.

WWRS14 Clubmen AThe all-new Kumho Clubman Challenge within the 2014 West Wales Rally Spares R.A.C. Rally Championship has been judged a great success after the opening two rounds, with 37 crews in a wide range of cars already contesting the challenge.

Running within the main championship, the Kumho Clubman Challenge is aimed at recognising the crews competing on limited resources and to be eligible for the challenge drivers must use no more than six tyres per rally. Read More »

Former rally photojournalist and current Kenyan safari lodge manager, Geoff Mayes, will return to the UK this spring to contest the BTRDA Plains Rally in an effort to raise awareness for the plight of elephants which are being poached at an alarming rate throughout Africa.

Geoff, who was formerly a photojournalist in the World Rally Championship but is now a senior guide and manager at the new and exclusive Lentorre Lodge in Kenya, will take to the wheel of an M-Sport World Rally Team developed Ford Fiesta adorned with the “Hands off our Elephants” logo. This highly successful marketing campaign created by http://www.wildlifedirect.org and which has the full support of the first lady of Kenya, Margaret Kenyatta, has been raising awareness of the poaching problem that is currently decimating elephants and rhinos at an alarming rate. In the past 12 months Kenya has lost over 400 elephants and more than 60 rhinos to poachers and the pressure is on the government to step up its fight against these illegal activities. Read More »
