Anticipation in the motor rallying world is building ahead of round two of the MSA British Rally Championship, the Jim Clark Rally at the end of May, with would-be spectators and competitors wondering what perils and challenges lie ahead.

The organisers have completed their route selection and reconnaissance and once approved, the route will broadly follow last year’s highly successful format, with the BRC’s Jim Clark Rally running over Friday and Saturday 30/31st May.

There will be eight stages on Friday evening, including the ever popular double run through the streets of Duns, the increase releasing time on Saturday to include a new(ish) stage which will also be run twice.

It is not a brand new stage, but as this section of road was last used some 40 years ago, the organisers are confident that most crews and the throngs of spectators will experience it for the first time.

So with a further ten stages on Saturday and a new centralised service area to the west of Kelso, the Jim Clark Rally is set to delight and challenge all comers.
