PhilHallPR2_14British Rally co-driver Phil Hall brought the silverware back to the UK last weekend as he partnered ex-WRC Academy driver Chris Duplessis to a class B victory and top ten overall placing at the Rally America New England Forest Rally. In his first ever overseas event, the 25 year old Royal Air Force employee joined forces with the Kitty Smiles Rally Team to record a remarkable result in a near standard B-spec Ford Fiesta, beating many more powerful cars on the two day gravel event. Historic Racing Technology, the new classic and vintage motorsport title from the publishers of Race Tech, will be launched at the Silverstone Classic this week.

Following a similar template to its sister publication, the new magazine focuses exclusively on the engineering and technology which goes into racing and restoring historic cars in the modern era. Carpentier World RXThe FIA World Rallycross Championship presented by Monster Energy has attracted a host of stars from a variety of motorsport disciplines including drivers from F1, WRC, DTM, Formula Drift, BTCC and X Games.  Now IndyCar and NASCAR star Patrick Carpentier has confirmed he will compete in World RX for the Canadian round at the wheel of a Marklund Motorsport Volkswagen Polo Supercar.

Throughout his career Canadian-born Carpentier has amassed five wins and 24 podiums in the Champ Car World Series and IndyCar.  He also competed in NASCAR in the Sprint Cup Series and Nationwide Series.  After his official retirement back in 2011, Carpentier has contested a number of charity races and is now a TV analyst for both NASCAR and World RX on Canadian TV channel RDS.
