harryflatters14 (62)The first of two summer events on the Epynt military ranges saw a frustrating day for the top two crews as they beat the bogey time on 7 of the 13 stages, so it was all decided on the 6 shorter stages. Damian Cole & Jack Morton (Focus WRC) ultimately won by 2 seconds and in no small part this all came down to the 4 seconds they took out of Mark Straker & Neil Harrison (Darrian T90 GTR) on the opening stage. Straker made up 3 seconds on stages 4 & 5 before dropping a second on the 8th stage and after that both he and Cole were deadlocked as they matched each other to the second or took the bogey times. Completing the podium, after a late call to start in place of Mark Worley, were Melvyn Evans & David Gamblin (Fiesta R5+) who were on the limiter for so much on the stages. Read More »

With just 3.5 seconds separating David Bogie and Euan Thorburn at the conclusion of the previous round, there is an intriguing tussle in prospect as they prepare to lock horns on the McDonald & Munro Speyside Stages next Saturday (August 2nd).

The pair have two wins apiece in the 2014 ARR Craib MSA Scottish Rally Championship after four events. Thorburn currently leads the series by nineteen points from Barry Groundwater, with Bogie now up to third – a further eleven points adrift.

The Dumfries driver, with Kevin Rae navigating, kept his nose in front on the RSAC Scottish Rally to clinch a debut win in his new Ford Fiesta R5+ – a replacement for the Ford Focus WRC in which he won his fifth Scottish championship, and his fifth Speyside Stages title, in 2013. Read More »

As the Total 24 Hours of Spa reaches the half-way point, 12 hours in to the race, the two Continental G3 racecars of M-Sport Bentley sit P15 and P26 after continuing to recover well from an unfortunate start.
