McLaren 650 S TrackMcLaren GT has today confirmed that it will premiere its latest model at this year’s Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, with the wraps set to come off the track-only 650S Sprint. The stripped-out racer will make its global debut alongside a number of other models from McLaren Automotive, and completes the brand’s display with four global debuts planned for the Californian event, including the McLaren P1™ GTR. IMG_2239A group of 27 Junior 1000 rally crews gathered near Kircudbright on 10th August 2014  for a very historic motorsport event – the “usedcarparts Solway Coast Junior Rally”. This would  be the first time that competitors from all 3 UK national Junior 1000 Rally Championships would compete on the same event. 40 miles over the military range roads of the Kircudbright Training Area would present a real challenge for the young drivers aged 14 to 17 years and on the 10th August they also had the tail end of ex-hurricane Bertha to contend with. Norway’s Petter Solberg took a sensational lights-to-flag victory at today’s World RX of Canada to become the first driver to win a round of the FIA World Rallycross Championship presented by Monster Energy held outside of Europe. The PSRX driver also becomes the first double winner in RX this year. Volkswagen Marklund Motorsport’s Anton Marklund and Team Peugeot-Hansen’s Timur Timerzyanov finished second and third respectively, both drivers securing podium spots for the first time this season.
