Newspress A– Craig Cheetham and Scott Fisher join Newspress
– Extensive journalistic and PR experience reinforces Newspress operation

Newspress today welcomes Craig Cheetham and Scott Fisher to its UK management team.

Both bring extensive experience, having worked on a variety of newspapers, magazines and websites and held in-house and agency PR roles.

Craig, 36, joins Newspress as Operations Director. He began his career as a local newspaper journalist and worked on several specialist automotive magazines including Auto Express. In 2005 he moved into PR at General Motors, where he ran communications for Chevrolet and Vauxhall Commercial Vehicles. Craig was Director of External Communications for GM’s Holden brand in Australia.

“For the past 13 years I’ve had a working relationship with Newspress, as a journalist and a PR Manager. I’m thrilled to be taking on this role at a time of such evolution in both the automotive industry and the media.”

Newspress BScott, 46, joins Newspress as Director of Newspress Comms, the company’s newly created PR services and communications division.

Former motoring journalist Scott is an experienced PR professional combining a strong track record of in-house PR at national and global levels with a precise understanding of the unique requirements of the luxury sector.

He said: “Newspress was founded on the basis of both distributing and creating press materials for the automotive industry. With Newspress Comms we are taking the business back to its roots and building on its four decades of industry expertise.”

Newspress Comms is the new PR services and communications division of Newspress, offering full service agency support with a focus on writing and content creation.

Newspress Managing Director, Tim Barfoot, said: “Scott and Craig further strengthen our offering and capabilities across the business, which has grown beyond recognition in the past five years. Newspress has more clients and media websites than ever and we continue to create new PR tools and services. We also have a growing portfolio of international operations in the USA, Spain, Portugal, Ireland and Italy, with more on the way.”
