The Organisers of the Brick & Steel Junior 1000 Ecosse Challenge are pleased to announce that Andy Kelly has now taken over the role of Chairman for the Championship. Andy replaces Andrew Wood who has been Chairman since the Championship started 3 years ago. Andrew will now concentrate his guidance on the ongoing development of the 205 Ecosse Challenge.

Andy went spectating on the Burmah Rally in 1976 and has been hooked on the sport ever since. He spent two seasons in the left hand seat, however, his ambitions have always been as a driver. Over the years he has driven an assortment of cars, the first being a Hillman Imp. In 1985 he had his first Scottish Rally Championship (SRC) win on the Valentine Rally, driving a Group A 1600 Talbot Sunbeam partnered by Gorge Black. Read More »

– Rally Isle of Man, 11-13 September, marks the culmination of the 2014 MSA British Rally Championship

The MSA British Rally Championship will be decided this weekend at the Rally Isle of Man (powered by Microgaming), with DS 3 drivers Daniel McKenna and Osian Pryce battling to win, it promises to be a Manx classic.

World RX AnderssonSweden’s PG Andersson has confirmed he will compete at round nine of the FIA World Rallycross Championship presented by Monster Energy, which will be staged at Estering in Germany from 20-21 September.  Andersson’s participation means he becomes the 100th driver to have entered the headline Supercar category in World RX this season: a remarkable achievement considering RX is only in its first year as an FIA World Championship. BBR on stage right 9After battling through the intense heat of the 2014 GWF Energy Merrick Forest Stages Rally, round six of the Scottish Rally Championships (SRC) and the penultimate round of the Ecosse 205 Challenge Blair Brown and co-driver Richard Simmonds finish runners up. The 19 year old driver from Kinross who is currently a student at Edinburgh college drove his QTS Group backed Peugeot 205 on the limit to secure his second place victory in both SRC Class 3 and Ecosse 205 Challenge. The Merrick stages rally starts in the coastal town of Wigtown in Dumfries and Galloway and plays host to some of the greatest and most historic stages in Scotland where the six Special Stages of the day run through the forest’s and hills of the Galloway forest park and Glentrool.
