Berwickshire born Ross Hunter left last weekend’s Rally Isle of Man as Champion Driver of the 2014 NGK Spark Plugs BRC Challenge Trophy having fought tooth and nail to beat his old adversary, Richard Sykes on infamous twisty and fast island lanes. Syke’s co-driver Emma Morrison was also crowned Co-Driver Champion, taking more points than Josh Davison, because he hadn’t competed on all scoring rounds.

On the Thursday and Friday, the penultimate round of the NGK BRCC, 26 year old Hunter with Davison alongside, had a titanic battle on their hands, never more than a handful of seconds separating them from Richard Sykes and Morrison. But Midlands based Sykes, a former champion, had a 100mph accident on the penultimate stage on Friday morning, handing Hunter and Davison the win and maximum points. Read More »

On September 21st and 22nd Kop Hill Climb (Princes Risborough, Buckinghamshire), itself steeped in motoring history, is proud to host 4 ERA’s (English Racing Automobiles) as part of its ‘Best of British’ theme.

Three had already been confirmed, R3A owned by Kop Hill Climb Patron, Dick Skipworth, R8C owned by Guy Spollen and R4A owned by Nick Topliss.  They are now joined by Duncan Ricketts and his 1938 ERA E-Type GP1.

The organisers of the historic hill climb event, which raises funds for local charities as agents for Buckinghamshire Community Foundation commented: “This is a unique occasion for us – it could be the largest static gathering of ERAs for a very long time – if ever.” Read More »

McLaren 650S SprintThe new 650S Sprint by McLaren GT is set for its global competitive premiere this weekend at the penultimate round of the GT Cup race at Donington Park, UK.
