vassallogilbeywinnersIt looked as if it was going to be another very close fought battle between Alexander Vassallo/Mike Gilbey (Citroen C1) and Dylan O’ Donnell/Tom Middlemiss (Peugeot 107) on the AONE Limited Junior 1000 Rally at Knockhill on 20th September 2014. This would be the sixth round of the 2014 Brick & Steel Junior 1000 Ecosse Challenge. The event was a mirror image of the event held on 30th August but this time the organisers were RSAC Motorsport . 13 Junior 1000 crews were entered and 11 finished in the results. 2 cars did not finish because of mechanical problems. World RX Germany14Norway’s Petter Solberg has won the Red Kiwi World RX of Germany, round nine of the FIA World Rallycross Championship presented by Monster Energy in what is the sport’s closest ever finish in its 47-year history.  In a nail-biting final race, Solberg pipped Sweden RX winner Mattias Ekstrom to the post by an unbelievable margin of just five thousandths of a second.  Robin Larsson completed the podium line-up finishing third in his Audi A1 Supercar.
