Steve Perez & Paul Spooner (Focus WRC) only set one fastest stage time on the first stage but they held on to take victory from Paul Bird & Aled Davies (Focus WRC) by 3.4 seconds. Bird went fastest on the final 3 stages but it proved not be enough, so the title fight is set up superbly for the final round in 3 weeks time. David Weston & Kirsty Riddick (Imprzea WRC) completed the podium just over 20 seconds further back, after setting the fastest time through the 2nd stage of the rally. Ignoring the 1400’s the first crew home in the 2WD rally, aka Silver Star, were Martyn Hawkswell & Benjamin Cohen (Escort MkII).

In the 1400’s David Bennett & Alistair McNeil (Corsa) took a dominant victory by over 3 minutes from Clive Anstey & Tim Currie (Satria). Just over half a minute further back were Marcel Freling & Karen Robinson (MG ZR). Rally First went the way of James West & Steve Eggington (Polo) with another good performance.

In the Historic Cup, which started Friday night, it was Richard Hill & Steffan Evans (Escort MkII) took victory by 7 seconds from Matt Edwards & Paul Morris (Escort MkII), who had led overnight. Completing the podium were Tim Pearcey & Neil Shanks (Escort MkII) just a over a minute further back. In category 2 David Stokes & Guy Weaver (Escort MkI) took a comfortable win, leading from start to finish. Category 1 was won by Bob Bean & Malcolm Smithson (Lotus Cortina) by just under half a minute.

In the open class Barry Stevenson-Wheeler & John Pickavance (Escort MkII) won by a minute and a half. There was only one finisher in category 4 and the FIA class, so they were won by Jansen Falko & Harald Gottlieb (Sunbeam) and Tom Coughtrie & Calvin Cooledge (Escort MkII) respectively. The Land Rover rally was won by Marc Paynter & Stacey Hadlum.
