Race Tech editor William Kimberley was named as the winner of the Market Engineering Award for Automotive Technology Journalism at last night’s Guild of Motoring Writers’ awards ceremony.

Held at the Royal Automobile Club on Pall Mall, the Guild awards are the top accolades in the industry. The Market Engineering Award recognises engineering excellence in technical writing. In particular, the judges were looking for the ability to write articles which are valued by specialists in the subject, yet are also interesting and easily accessible to non-experts.

Previously a recipient of the Jet Media Excellent Award for technical writing (1996) and the Special Delphi award for Technical Publishing (1999), William Kimberley has been editing Race Tech since 2006. Read More »

Hyundai tests end14– Three weeks after the finale of the 2014 FIA World Rally Championship, the Hyundai Shell World Rally Team is already working towards the opening rounds of its second season in competition.
– The team’s 2015 drivers Thierry Neuville and Dani Sordo both conducted two days of testing each with the Hyundai i20 WRC this week to prepare Monte Carlo rally.
– The pair will move soon to the Arctic Circle for four further days of testing to prepare the car for Round 2 of the 2015 Championship at Rally Sweden. Read More »
