rs_riponian01It will be all change this season for Stourbridge rally driver Richard Sykes as he embarks on a new championship challenge in a new car.

After several seasons driving a Citroën C2R2 Max in the British Rally Championship Challenge, including a title win in 2012 and runner-up spot in 2013 and 2014, Sykes has acquired ex-DGM Citroën DS3. He will competing the new BTRDA Mixed Surface championship and the car will be supported by G I Sykes Ltd, Boroughbridge Marina, Bathams Brewery and Body Clinic. Read More »

riponian15 (8)It was only our third trip to the Riponian and it already is a firm favourite despite the weather. In many respects the snow at the end of the day made the event for our final stage, Roppa. Charles Payne & Andrew Roughead (Fiesta) dominated the event with a series of fastest stage times, (all but the last 2 stages), saw them take a comfortable victory. In a superb 2nd place were Matthew Robinson & Sam Collis (Escort MkII) who had been on it all day, benefiting from final stage dramas which saw Ian Joel & Graeme Wood (Escort Cosworth) drop the best part of a minute and a half on the final stage.
